Wesleyan University manuscript and schoolwork collection, 1756-1894.

A collection of school work, primarily penmanship and copybooks, diaries, the will of Litchfield, Connecticut, resident Joseph Kilbourn, assorted correspondence and other documents. A diary of sermons preached was kept by a resident of Harwinton, Connecticut. The penmanship and copybooks were kept by Carlos Waldo, Elizabeth G. Southmayd, Julius Smith, Elizabeth Latham, and others. Also contains a biography of Amasa Holcomb of East Granby, Connecticut, prepared as an oration by Fred Case. The assortment includes checks, poetry, and recommendations for ministers.
